mwbgmwbwKurī è il mwcavocabolo di mwcqlingua māori che indica una mwcgrazza canina, ormai estinta, originaria della mwcwNuova Zelanda. Venne diffuso dai mwdaMaori in tutta la mwdqPolinesia durante le loro migrazioni cominciate nel mwdg1280. Veniva utilizzato come fonte di cibocite-ref-1[1] e di pelle/pelliccia, utilizzata per confezionare il mantello mwewKahu kurīcite-ref-2[2], le cinturecite-ref-3[3] o per decorare le armicite-ref-4[4]cite-ref-5[5].
La specie si estinse in Nuova Zelanda poco dopo l'arrivo dei coloni europei. L'ultimo esemplare, una femmina con il suo cucciolo, è conservata presso il Museo Te Papa Tongarewacite-ref-6[6].
